Dermal fillers used in aesthetic practice are synthetic hyaluronic acid. This man-made (synthetic) hyaluronic acid mimics the natural hyaluronic acid which occurs in the human body. Hyaluronic acid occurs largely in the skin, connective tissues and the eyes of human beings. It is responsible for retaining moisture in the skin to keep tissue and skin well-lubricated, moisturised and supple. The one present in the eyes keeps the eyes well moisturised to prevent dry eyes. However over time, the skin starts losing its firm collagen, elasticity, level of hydration and volume.
With advanced science and technology, dermal fillers have been manufactured and made available to mimic the naturally occurring substance with the result of adding volume to the skin and some areas of the human body to make them smoother, supple with lasting effect of between 6 – 12 months.

Foundation Dermal Filler Training
This is a One Day course designed at the introductory level to train candidates in the field of dermal filler practice. For the benefit of the learner, course is designed as a small classroom size to enable one-on-one training by our highly skilled professional training team. Course comprises TWO sessions: the Morning and Afternoon sessions. The morning session will be devoted to teaching and equipping you with the knowledge and skills you require to enable you practice with confidence from Day 1.
Course content includes:

- Legal Obligations and Liability
- Health and Safety
- Anatomy and Danger zones of the face
- Adverse Effects and contraindications
- Injection techniques
- Risks and complications
- Consultation techniques
- Managing expectations
- Use of Hyalase/hyaluronidase in corrective work
- Aesthetic Insurance
- Business Set up and Good Practice
The Afternoon session will be hands-on practical training to cover 4 popular facial areas on live models. Areas will include:
- Lips
- Cheeks
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
You will be emailed our pre-course materials to read, complete and return to us after registration.
Upon successful completion of the Foundation course, you will have the option to move straight on to private practice or go on to the Advanced Level 7 training course to learn more about dermal fillers applications in the beauty industry. We strongly advise you to complete the Advance study before launching your practice
Advanced Level 7 Course
This course is offered as an Ofqual Level 7 Award and it is suitable for medical personnel including:

The course is designed as a 2-day course.

The second day of training:
This is designed to be hands-on practical on live models. You will be trained on how to assess your clients in order to deliver impeccable treatment to achieve the best possible end result.
Treatment areas for training will include:
- Cheek enhancement/cheekbone definition
- Nasolabial folds
- Marionette lines
- Non-surgical rhinoplasty (nose reshaping)
- Advances lip techniques (Russian lips)
- Chin reconstruction
This second training day will mostly be spent on live models under supervision to gain mastery of all procedures
